Your privacy

We are committed to protecting your privacy and as such we use the information you provide to us lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. Please read on for more details about our privacy policy.

What information is collected? How is it used?

When you make an enquiry we need to know your name, e-mail address and/or telephone number. Additionally when you make a booking we need to know your home address and payment details. This allows us to communicate with you regarding your enquiry and confirm your booking.

We will not contact you in the future unless you have expressly given us your consent or unless it is specifically regarding your previous enquiries or bookings.

How does the Old Vicarage protect your information?

We place great importance on the security of information submitted to us and accordingly we review and enhance security frequently. We do not hold data for longer than is reasonably necessary for the purposes of the proper conduct of our business or as required by UK law. We always use our best efforts to prevent loss or misuse of this information (e.g. restricting access to only those staff who need it or using secure server software (SSL) rather than email to transfer payment card information), although we are unable to guarantee that such loss or misuse will not occur.

What about website "cookies"?

"Cookies" are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. We do not use cookies or any other tracking method to track the individual behaviour of visitors to this site.

Will the Old Vicarage disclose the information it collects to others?

We do not sell, trade, rent or give away your personal information to others unless it is with your express permission or as required under UK law.

What about other web sites the Old Vicarage links to?

We are unable to take responsibility for content or information handling practices on any other web site you may choose to visit, whether linked from this site or not.
